The Gunslinger Culture
You Don't Join the Band.
You Become a Gunslinger.
Six String Gunslingers was never built to be a traditional band, chained to the same four or five faces year after year. There are too many talented singers and musicians out there for that. This is something different — a rotating crew of players, brought together for the right song, the right session, the right stage.
Gunslingers ride into town to solve a problem, do a job, get paid. Ride on.
One singer might cut a single track with us. Another might play on ten recordings. Some take the stage live. Others never do. That's fine. The lineup can change without the people becoming disposable — because a Gunslinger isn't a member of an organization, they're someone known for being good at what they do.
"I want being a Gunslinger to mean something."
— Tim Hendricks, Founder, Blackbeard World Entertainment
No Permanent Sheriff
Studio players change from recording to recording. For live shows, we assemble the strongest crew of singers and musicians available at the time. Someone who records or performs with the group becomes a Gunslinger. A singer can be a Featured Gunslinger — or simply a featured artist. Personnel changes aren't something we have to explain. They're a feature.
Songs build the Gunslingers. The Gunslingers build the audience. And everybody gets a chance to ride.
